Desiree,
Glad you had the guts to bring this issue to the media. Personally, I didn’t realize how political all of this stuff is and how everybody paints such a rosey picture. I am a fireman and been driving locally since 1987, I used our 6k water tanker tt truck to pass my cdl test after many hours of self study, and being trained by old timers while driving on our cdl course at work and throughout the county.
I have always wanted to drive because I enjoy it.
Anyway took my driving test in Deland FL and passed last saturday but will go out with a trainer because i have no otr experience and need to be with a good trainer.I was up front from day one with my new company. I thought you might like to know that old school programs to drive are still out there, just very hard to find because I refused to go to a cdl mill. Also wanted to mention google wave because it will definitley help you communicate and collaberate with the industry as more users come online. I was invited by Wilson Hines at http://www.producetrucker.com and he has a few more invitations if your interested. Just ask him and let him know why you would like to use Wave. Keep up the good work and screw the big money machine. You go for the Gusto.
