This Wall Street Journal Article pertains to Texas Bill HB2932 and SB1558. I went to Austin Texas to give my personal testimony in Support of it.
Some of you may remember that I was accused by one psychopath on Twitter who twisted my words to get himself some attention but it unraveled into a grotesque group online stalkers who continue to make threats to my person because of what this man did.
Well Folks, this was a real event in MY LIFE and the WSJ Article talks about the important bill that was passed by the State of Texas to use DNA to link Sex Crimes.
You can read it HERE
My personal account of how that night unfolded as well as the ensuing Twitter Drama are in my Post titled “Texas Bill HB2932 and SB1558“
I watched Queen of the Road. I thank you and Dan Rather for this documentary. It was very insightful and I hope to see more issues raised on the trucking industry. I feel for you and what you had to put up with from male truckers.
I lost my job back on July 28, 2009 due to making errors on my logs and damaging a bat wing on my truck. Since then I have been blackballed from trucking due to having “Unsatisfactory Safety Record” placed upon my DAC. I think it was done because of my fight for unemployment. Just another dirty little secret of the trucking industry.
Keep up the great work Desiree! God bless and be safe out on the road.

Today is Memorial Day May 31 2010- 21 years ago, this morning I was being further traumatized at Parkland Hospital in Dallas Texas following a rape from an intruder. In my post here on this site of why I support Texas Bill HB2932 & SB1558 I recall what happened to me that night. Now the Bill is a Law & I hope it will be adopted by other states. I am very happy Dallas Police Headquarters is a different organization than it was in 1980s. Like I said in my testimony, waking up face to face to a knife in my own bed, in my own home took any sense of security from me forever.
Going to the authorities who at the time fumbled & humiliated me further was a double punch. I learned that predators can blend very well among us in positions of power & I learned organizations can change with the diligent work of a few committed people.
When people write to me & say the would want their Daughters to read about me or be inspired by me it makes me cry.
I don’t wish what I have been through on anyone. I have had a very hard life with little guidance but my own wits.
I learned by example of where I was at the time.
Today, I work on my project http://www.REALWomeninTrucking.com
because when older veteran women truckers tell me to keep talking I feel I must.
Until someone else emerges who can take the ball & run with it without judging others or using them to capitalize upon them.. I must keep the ball rolling. These Women Truckers Deserve Recognition for the Shit they put up with to fill your store shelves
They are being used to make a name for others who have agendas of GREED, NOT CHANGE!!!!.
I remember Memorial Day for our fallen soliders who gave us freedom & I remember this man who took my sense of security from me. I remember now that I testified to make this bill become a law & that my writings with typos have made a difference to give freedom to myself & others who have been bound by False Prophet Organizations.
I am grateful to be an American where I can speak my truth & give my opinion
